this article reminds me of one incident where my grandfather was the PE principal and he remembers all his students name.
In his later years, he recognised one of his student and also visited his place on request from the student. what a relationship to ponder!

Loved it.I can understand how moved u must have been,and how hard to stop those tears from falling.

Isnit it an irony,that the toddler a teacher teaches today, can turn into a Ratan Tata tommorrow,while the teacher remains where she is financially ?

I read a very moving newspaper clipping a few days back of a IIT student of Kharagpur, who has gifted 25 lakhs of ruppes, which is to be used to the teachers treatment inc ase they are ill.What a noble gesture.

How many of us think of our teachers, bcs of whom we are what we are.

I agree teaching can be great stress as the expectations are very high.It is realfun to be with teenagers,.Once they accept you there is nothinglike it.In fact I sometimes feel that we know more about them than their parents.Dont you agree?

Teaching is indeed a great profession.You do play an important role in shaping good citizens.What pride a teachers get when a student of theirs tell them how they have come up in life because of them.Their hard work does get rewarded then.See our president himself has come to his old profession and he said in an recent interview that it gives them immense pleasure.My sis in law who is a KG teacher for almost 16 years says nothing like seeing the little ones in the morning.She says there is nothing like equivalent to affection showered by them.Hats off to you Twinsmom your profession is/was a great one.............
