The joy of being with grandkids

A bell has no sound till someone rings it
A song has no sound till someone sings it
So never hide your feelings it has no value till some one feels it

Life is a challenge everyone has to face it. If we sit and cry overy the problems we have , only we will be sitting and crying, noone will be there always to solve our problems. Silent lips may avoid many problems, but smiling lips may solve many problems, so always we should have smile on our lips in the beautiful journey of life.

I am used to accepting challenges and getting disappointed also when it does not work properly, but still keep on trying. I was so happy that I reached Hall of fame but so sad now that because I wrote many posts in Community Chit Chat I lost the counts and now I am again a Platinum Lite only. Anyway something is better than nothing, I am happy that I am an ILIte and proud to be one.

For every action there is a reaction. When my two daughters adopted a girl child each, there were many comments. Some relatives said they have gone the easy way by adopting instead of going through labour and pain.
Some relatives were happy that they gave life to the girl child. Only people who dont have a child will know what all they must have gone through not having a child. After marriage for 3 years I did not have a child and I had gone through people's comments, some saying she doesnot have a child, some saying you are so thin you willnot havea child . So I can imagine what my elder daughter must have gone through not having a child for eight years.

Adoption is also not so easy. You have to register one year before and there are so many formalities. Only those who have adopted a child will know what all they have to go through.

Though Gopika and Pratima are adopted child, now they have become our own. Gopika has the same qualities which my daughter had when she was a kid. Its really God's miracle. After doing so many fasting and going to so many tempels, Lord Vinayaka blessed my daughter with a girl child through adoption. Gopika is a sweet child and always has a smiling face which attracts everyone. She is nine months old now and holding she stands. Her feet have not become strong, so while standing sometimes she stands holding with one hand and falls down, but she does not keep quiet, again she will stand. All the time she wants to be active and needs attention from anyone. So someone has to be always with her. She goes all round the house crawling , so cant leave anything down.

Pratima is staying with her mother in their house. She is ten months old. She stands without holding and starts dancing. My young daughter did Sai pooja and Satyanarayana Pooja and went to many temples and the child is Sai's gift I think. Everday morning me, my elder daughter and Gopika visit their house in the morning and be with them for two hours. Both Gopika and Pratima enjoy together. Since I am all the time with Gopika, if Pratima comes and sits on my lap she will also come and wants to sit on my lap. She thinks I am only hers. Sometimes they both hug each other. Nice to see them playing. Pratima is always saying something or other in her language, like da, da, pa , pa and sometimes sings. If you teach some rhymes in tamil usual rhymes which all grandmothers teach their children , she will show the action. She has many toys to play , so she plays with them. Sometimes only she troubles her mother. Gopika wants me only to feed her and put her to sleep in the night.

I am also enjoying with my granddaughters and enjoying each moment which I had lost all these years without them.

Thanks a lot for giving the first fb. You have made my day. Since we are sailing in the same boat you can understand the joy. But its more for me as I have become grandmother now only. Now waiting for my dil to have naturally a kid. I think God will answer my prayers

Let tongues wag but we know what we are doing.
It is not so easy to adopt a child....everything has to be thought about like health of the parents who are going to adopt, financial conditions, etc..
Glad that you have found true joy and love watching your grand daughters grow every single minute of a day !!!!
