Enjoyed reading it Mindi! Have a very safe and enjoyable Deepavali.

I wish I could be one among your neighbours too !

I am a darpok too and pretty much fall under Sri's category of things that I might volunteer to play with.

I am giving Chitra mami's recipies a go this time !

Dear Mindi,

That was a wonderful account of the pre & post marriage diwali. Kannai katti vittadhu..I was also taken on a nostaligic trip but as we both come from the same community nothing much changes. I am also relying on our Cookery Queen only this time.

Btw: Thalai might mean like after the first year festivals...thalai of DIL can be uruttified.

yes this time since it is falling on a saturday.....we are all missing the holiday otherwise here all festivals (ramzan,diwali and chinese new year)are given the same importance(one thing i liked about this place).

I did not do anything this year hope i would have read your post earlier so that I too would have got this spirit from you.
