I would love a stockmarket that never goes down
But then money would have no value

I would love a life with no ups and downs
But then without the downs, the ups would have no value

I would love a life without sickness
But then without sickness, health would have no value

I would love a life without conflict
But then without conflict, peace would have no value

I would love a world without heart ache

But then without heartache, I would take the love I feel for you for granted

I would love a life without despair
But then without despair, there would be no hope

    Santhosh,

How true, certain things become more dearer after a period of absence..

I would love a world without hunger,
but without hunger, the food has no value.

I would love a world without darkness,
but without darkness, the light has no value.

I would love a world without natural calamities,
but without natural calamity , the nature's power has no value.

I would love a world without trials and tribulations,
but without trials, my will power and endurance has no value...

oops..sorry for taking up your space..could not resist...

    Hi! Santhosh

I'd love to live a world like the one you have described, maybe all sages and seers know the secret of being in this world but not of the world....

    I'd like to add....

A world without problems, that would be very nice,
Indeed, it would be like living in Paradise.

Life would be so happy, but would it begin to pall,
If there was nothing to look forward to at all?

    Dear Santosh,

    Great post!!:thumbsup

Why is it necessary to have problems galore??
Does smooth sailing really not exist or..?
Is it essential to fall before a rise?
Is it not simple to be just wise??

But then i guess to learn the lessons in life
One needs to undergo some strife
I liked the part youve said about love
Its the best of all emotion from above.

So I guess the gains are justified
When we surpass odds and feel the pride.

    Love,
    Devika

Full of wisdom. And I agree with Devika that the part on love is the best message in the poem. Love between human beings, indeed between any two living beings, is the greatest of God's gifts. It is precious, it's priceless. Yet, so often, don't we take it for granted as you say?

You are an accomplished writer. Reading you is a treat.

We have been created such that we cannot appreciate the good without knowing about the bad. So I guess a world with so many distasteful things would have to be tolerated for our own good

Excellent one, Santosh..:thumbsup this one definitely shows that good and bad are the sides of the same coin..

Success has its value because of the failures
Happiness has its value because of the sufferings
Value of goodness is seen in the shadow of badness..

    Enjoyed all the fbs too..

    Dear Santoshbhai,

Man u are turning into a philospher eh ! Good one.that is true, without the head, the AC value is useless.

Devika has come up with a lovely poem in the FB, let me try to match her a little

When you are ditched by your Girlfriend,
It is then u realize u love your wife no End

When u have spent a lot on your office Honey,
That is when u realize the value of Money,

    Dear Santosh,
    Loved the post.
I would lve to live in a world where the MIL never cribs
But then life will lose its tangy taste.

I would love to live in a world where the husband never cribs
But then I will miss out on the 'making up'

I would love to live in a world where the neighbours don't gossip
But then life will become boring,no?

I would lve to live in a world where old age is unheard of
But then what is life without grandchildren?

    Regards
