a very heart wrenching story of that lady,your narration is excellent and i could feel every single word of urs.it is much much difficult to survive in those situations than those shown in movies.

I wanted to mention that the reference to Maupassant was only insofar as exploitation of women (for sensual pleasure) is concerned.

Your narration touched my heart deeply. In all the innocence of childhood, one accepts life without ever judging anyone. Which is why they say children are akin to God. As we grow older, we are conditioned by the teachings of our elders, situations and circumstances play a part in clouding our judgement (I think Maya or illusion cloaks the vision of reality), and when we are wise enough to analyse the same events by ourselves, clear logic leads us to the right perception of reality (I think, if it is so ordained, the veil of Maya lifts slowly for us to have a fleeting glimpse of the Parabrahman.... oops, going into the metaphysical plane now). If one can empathise and sympathise with the not so fortunate ones, we are on the right path...
