| Hi all, just want to share an anecdote. Was visiting a cousin yesterday. She has two teenagers, both look futuristic with chords and devices festooned all over them - i have always found them swaying to music , talking to friends and SMSing , applying gels and creams to hair and face , doing so many things almost simultaneously like Ashtavadanis ! When Cousin and I sat down for a chat, the teen's pounding music was distracting us, so Cousin ordered them to switch to headphones. She could have left it at that - but quite without thinking, she passed a comment: "I dunno what pleasure u people get listening to senseless rubbish ! Just look at the lyrics : Randakka, Randakka ! What does it mean ? " The boy dint stop swaying and said quite pleasantly : " It means the same thing as "Tararinna-na " , Mom ! " Cousin was stumped and could only glare ! Todays Teens can be infuriating as well as funny ! Vidyasarada |
