Dear, Exactly Penny wise Pound foolish! In many houses people buy the most expensive Gas stoves. But we neglect to check the gastube to avoid leakage. It is mandatory to change the tube after a stipulated time. How many of us do that? I have seen ladies working in the kitchen behaving recklessly. Shouldn't the dupatta or saree be worn properly to avoid accidents. May of them open the kitchen cabinets while the gas stove is on very care lessly. In many houses they are placed against the wall facing the kitchen platforms. Yesterday I saw a youth riding a two wheeler with a small child made to stand in front. He had a mobile on one hand and was busy engaged in talking and was tring to manoevure the vehicle with the other hand. Many of us compromise on many things which makes our life complicated. kanaka

Dear kanaka, Thanks for stepping in.Yeah in most of the cases, women forget to switch off the gas. When we are going out,it is mandatory to check whether the gas is off, heater switch is off.Because many unexpected situations are happening due to this and it is highly difficult to recoup for it. I would quote a incident happened some time before.Myself and my mother were stepping out for a function.Usually we used to check out everything and particularly on that day,we would have travelled almost half of the destination,my mother suspected that whether we switched off the gas stove,as we switched on for heating milk.As we could not exactly remember,we decided to return to our house,it is even ok if we have switched off, atleast we can be on the safer side. But fortunately, when we opened the door, the house was smelling (pungent smell)because we did not switch off the gas.Immediately,we rushed to the windows and windows, opened all of them. Moreover since we are residing in apartments it would be a major problem concerning public disturbance. So we need to check carefully. Reckless driving, using mobile phone while driving has become inevitable now a days.It is upto each and every individual. Thanks a lot kanaka for your feedback as you are the first one.

Dear Bhargavi, One neighbour of mine had kept wate for boiling. It remained whole night. Finally in the morning she saw a melted pot in front of her. Some of them keep the tap open. There are people who had gone on vacation with the taps on. The tank use to go empty very soon. Finally somebody solved the mystery. We took the key from soxiety office. Opened the door and closed the taps. This happened during a summer season. kanaka

Very wise. Quality products may be more costly, but then it's better to be patient and wait till one can afford them. The alternative could be much more costly in the long run. oj
