My another B.F

Again I am not referring to any Boy Friend, but my Best Friend. This B.F is none other than my inner voice or in Tamil 'Manasakshi'. This B.F has alerted me, helped me in taking decisions and entertained me by bringing good songs once heard by me. he is constantly with me, comes with me wherever I go and even when I am asleep he is awake to record my dreams and play it for me next day. Before I give an example how this B.F helped me, I would like to explain how he came to me.

It all happened since I was watching many Hindi/Tamil movies in which thry used to show this inner voice as a refelection in mirror who will talk good/bad in times of stress. In one movie drunkan Big B will talk to his reflection in mirror and break it. In one Tamil movie the great Shivaji Ganesan's inner voice will be singing 'Sakkai podu raja'. Watching all this, this inner voice in me got activated and has become my B.F.

How he alerted me is like this. In those days, I was fond of listening to English pop songs brought by Bombay Radio on Saturday nights. I was fond of listening to the graets like Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves, Englebert Humpherdink, Tom Jones, Hose feliciano and others. During those days, once I went to Dharamshetra in Andheri, Mumbai to have darshan of Bhagawan Sathya Sai baba and while returning I had engaged a cab. At Ghatkopar I was in a mighty hurry to catch the electric train and I paid the cabbie a 20 rupee note while the fare was only Rs.6. Since I was in a hurry I left without collecting the change when my B.F started to huma song loudly. The song was 'Look before you leave'. You wouldn't beleive this and even I could not comprehend how it happened. I looked back to see the cabbie frantically calling me to give back the change honest person that he was. Till today I can't explain how my B.F brought that song timely.

This B.F has been telling me that although the list of my B.Fs in IL (Little gems as mentioned by AC madam) is short it is bound to grow and I should continue to write without worrying whether there is favouratism in IL.

I used to wonder in my younger age, does all have an inner voice like me...but a shy girl I am that time, I kept the question to myself, but I found the answer that all have that inner voice while watching the movies, as you had mentioned, and also when in the discourses they say, listen to your inner voice...
Nice to read the incident you had mentioned....sometimes it is also called an intution!!

Dear sriniketan madam,

You are absolutely right. The other word for inner voice is intution. But, I think intution comes only in limited times and the inner voice I am talking about is always there. Am I right?. Thanks for your excellent F.B

Yes, I agree with you. Manasaakshi should be the B.F for every one. But, unfortunately in this modern commercial world it has taken a back seat with people like politicians. Thanks for your valuable F.B.

Hi Geetha,

You are right. This manasaakshhi is our first BF which comes along with us wherever we go and guides us always. But sometimes we dont follow and ignore this BF and make our life more complicated. Am I right?

In my incidents it may not be the voice telling me so but sometimes I get a feeling before I do something...and it kind of tells me what is going to happen You could call that a premonition when you see it...but I usually just feel something will happen...not sure what we should call that Very nice incident of yours though...maybe it shows that we should look around more often

A good post to read. I obey my BF and see to it that I never hurt him or make him feel depressed.
