Default The identity crisis

Is this a complex or a genuine problem. We get identity crisis at home. Iam told it is the feeling of threat in the presence of someone. Will I be replaced or displaced by his presence-does that worry us?

Or is it our incompatability to stay in tune with someone of a different wave length.

Is this a problem which finds rooted in India or I mean in developing countries or state(as far as India is concerned). WE don't seem to learn from them what makes them going, rather . our only agenda will be to make the person compromise with the situation.

The place where I live(Goa) this attitude is very prominent. Ofcurse Mumbai has its share- but it is on a different plane altogether.

Many of my friends here in Il are from abroad. Do such situations prevail there? kanaka

Hi Kanaka,

What you have raised is a fear complex ingrained in human psyche since the dawn of civilization..

While the cave man wanted a strong woman to bear him healthy progeny & to take care of the home front, the cave woman wanted a male who was strong enough to hunt & provide for her & her kids..

Now, the fear of being replaced is because we all want that top-notch post, we all want accolades from society. The main reasons are: Lack of self-confidence & Jealousy.

Just do yuor job, take a chill pill & see the results. In my work place, if someone takes credit for a job done by another person, they give it back in a subtle way. The entire work load is given to that selfish person to handle. He/she gets the message...

I believe Kanaka truth cannot be hidden. If you have put in hard work & you have been replaced, time will get that job back to you....

I was handling a department which was a big mess last year. Once I got it to a manageable level, I was shunted to another one. I was hurt. But I kept quite. Two months later the department went into shambles again & I was asked in a quiet way if I wanted the old job back. My answer " No thanks ".

Don't worry Kanaka, the world lived without us & will live without us. We are just visitors. Let us do our duty & take rest when time comes...

Regards,

L
