When I was in Andheri used to go by bus to Prabhadevi where I used to work. Morning used to get starting bus but evenings long Qs. From Wadala my office was near so no problem. Have got caught in rain and stayed in cousin's place for the night in Matunga. For twenty years have travelled by train. Eight years by BEST and eight years by Contract bus. Have enjoyed from Bhelpuri to the present Pizza. Have enjoyed my working life in Mumbai. Have visited Siddhi Vinayak Temple everyday while working in Prabhadevi. Previously it was not a problem visiting th temple. Only on tuesdays and Sankashti long Qs used to bethere. But now too much of security is there. Now we are not allowed to offer Coconut. I have also jumped from the train many times. When I was in Goregaon I was working in Fort Area. So everyday evening used to have Belpuri. This was in 1965. I am staying in Mumbai since 1965.
Worked for 36 years staying in different places. After staying in Mumbai people wont like to stay anywhere else. The trains are a boon to people here. I think people in Mumbai get lot of punya as they can see many faces everyday.

I dont know to write so well as others and u have written. Hope u enjoy reading.

Dear Viji,

You wrote very well, don’t u worry,We are all amateur writers here, as long as we convey what we want to, that’s enough.

36 years is a long time. And Mumbai grows on u really.Yes Siddhi Vinayak, I have never been there even once, but I see long long lines of people specially Tuesdays.People keep Gods buys in Mumbai.

Yes as u said even the road food is good in Mumbai, with Vada pao and Bhel being the famous landmarks.

Thanks for yr great comments.Regards.kamal

Dear Mindi,

That is strange that u traveled from Chembur to sion.I used to do that for many years in the early sixties, when we stayed in Sion and used to study at OLPS Chembur, so we used to go up and down, those days 7 Ltd Bus used to go to Chembur.

Half ticket was 5 paise and full ticket was 7.Sada Dosa 15 paise and masala 20 p, and chutney as much helpings as u want.

Ah these were the days eh

And then we shifted to 11th Road, where we lived in a rented flat, and then to 4th road, Gandhi Maidan where we stayed for a few years, before we shifted finally to Worli Sea Face in the early seventies.

I have done my college from SIES Sion, and Khalsa College, King Circle.

Thanks and regards.kamal
