You have a great sense of humor and love what you write about the ultimate dishwasher guy!!! These days things have changed and more and more men share wit household work. That is certainly the norm. It also helps if fathers do this work so as to show children an example. My son does not like to do house hold chores but finished whats alloted to him very quickly! |

| This is an old trick where we tell someone who is a compulsive cleaner and wants you to clean like her to just 'postpone' the cleaning ! 'What is the hurry?', we ask. We can also play this game with compulsive bed makers, compulsive shoppers (lets go shopping tomorow ! Whats the hurry?) or compulsive gifters( She wont mind if give the bday gift a couple of days late ! So relax !) Santosh mens tricks |

| Dear AC, Many of us are in the same boat as yours. Your writing was well put :) My dh also does that. I learnt to be clumsy. But I have one room in the whole house that is exclusively mine and that is well maintained, so I can keep my sanity and carry on with my hobbies. Rest of the house is filled with papers, things thrown around, kitchen is stinky. Added to all these I'm pregnant. So I cant take any odor of any sort. I have let it be. Once a month there is cleaning service to rescue. I would certainly try 'their way' for atleast 3 months, of course you will have to find ways to spend time outside the house more often though. Also whatever things you do around for them dont do it and say you will do it 'your way' including cooking and laundry. You eat out and do your laundry. Let them learn to do their part. They both eat out for a while and even enjoy it, but they will definitely come back around. You will need a lot of patience during this time though. I had seen my friends suffer, didnt want to suffer like them for all myself, so learnt to be patient and it is paying off now. Atleast he does both our laundry and load and unload dishwasher. As I'm not cooking I dont care about stinky kitchen. When he is out of pots and pans and there is no more apce in the sink, he will load the dishwasher. Best of luck!
