| My dear mindian, Yes there is a reason behind everything that happens in our lives, more often than not it happens to be for our good. Now let us come to Duryodhana. Iam happy you asked that question.Duryodhana is a courageous warrior. He was mean to his cousins the Pandavas, there also there is a reason.Draupathi laughs at him when he falls down mistaking the floor for a pool of water or something like that and he vows that he will make her the laughing stock. Not that he was right.Apart from the fact that he was mean to his cousins and he publicly humiliates Draupathi, for which no one can forgive him, there are other qualities in him that attracts him to you. He is a sincere friend,a friend in times of need, his love and affection for his near and dear is blemishless. He trusts his froend,Karnan. When Karnan and Duryodhanan's wife are playing a game.Duryodhana's wife gets up in the middle, karna pulls her playfully and her waistband studded with pears loosens and the pearls scatter.Duryodhana enters the scene.Duryodhana's wife is a little afraid,Karnan is embarasse that such a thing happened but Duryodhana asks his wife in an equally playful manner,"Shall I pick them up or shall I make them into a saram again?" He was a generous person, scripture says that he used to give away wealth to the needy and the poor.More than anything else I wonder if Duryodhana would have kept his wife as a pawn and played the game, had he been in Dharma's position. My understanding of his character tells me,"No,he would never have done that,he would rather have committed suicide than pledge his wife. In my opinion compared to Dharma,Duryodhana inspite of his evil nature comes out as a true soldier. love mithila kannan

| Dear MK, That is a real nice story... A coin has two sides... What you want to look at and how you want to look at it is something in your hands... I can understand the feelings of Raju... He is really blessed to have a good friend who can teach him to look at the things in a prospective manner... I always feel, God has his own way of telling people and guiding them... But we in our own materialistic / logical mindset, forget to look at them and learn from them... This stroy might not have come at a more appropriate time for me personally... hahahahahahahahaha Veda
