Happyness is the road

I Read This in a magzene From the writing of Richard Carison with inputs By Alfred D'suza & wished to share it we u people .

It says truely that most of the time we human just wait for one or other things to happen & think that wud surely bring us happyness & in doing so we make our present filled with worries & anxities .


" We convince ourselves that life wud be better once we have completed our study ,got a job.Once we are married ,have one baby ,then another ...........Than we get frustrated because our children are not old enough ,and that will be well when they are older..

Then we get frustrated because they reach adolesence and we must deal with them. surely we'll be happier when they grow out of teen yrs.

We tell ourselves that life wud be better when our spouse becomes more loving and understanding towords us .Whemn we get a new house,when we take a holiday,when we finally retire& have time on our hands to do all things we wanted to do................

The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now.If not now than when??

Your life wud always be full of challenges.......It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.

For a long long time I Thought life was about to start.... real life.

But there was always some obstacle,some cries along the way.a lifetime saving to be poured out in face of serious illness ,everything to be left a side to help a loved one pull through........

I finally came to understand that these obstacles were life.

This point of view helped to understand me that there is no road to happyness Happyness is the road.

So stop waiting ..... to get married, get children.For the house loan to be paiid for.... ur song to be sung.
Stop waiting to have good helath,or die or to be reborn without any of their previous lifes's problums.

Stop waiting to before deciding to be happy.

Ther is no better time to be happy than ...Now.

Thanks for staring this thread.I too had come across similar views where it was expressed that Life is the journey itself and not the destination.

But if indeed Life is journey, then who has the Map ?
