My dear Devikutty,

A pognant story , so beautifully penned by a blue-eyed one !!

Lovely choice of title........have always admired your titles !!

You have high lighted the significance of organ donation very well and brought

out the fact that even in the midst of tragic death the power to grant a better

quality of life to the living lies with us. We should definitely have more awareness

about this vital issue. for the important message you've conveyed through

this heart rending story. Nayana is a lovely name too.

warm regards
L chechi

Dear Devika,

A profoundly moving and soul stirring story that made me all emotional.

You have an ingenious way to pen down the events that makes it a gripping read !

When something unpropitious occurs in one's life..we immediately question GOD..."Why me, Why me?" but never ask ourselves, "Why not me?"

Especially, I loved this line..

Very true ! You've brought attention to Organ donation that can enhance the lives of others in need.

This is a remarkable piece that not only raises awareness but also makes one see the positive side of life even when the going gets tough.

Cheers
Krithika

Dear Devika
Thank you for writing about an important subject.. a much needed one too.. It is my understanding that TamilNadu has promoted a lot of awareness for eye donations.. Both my inlaws who are no more had signed up for this. So as soon as they passed away this was the first thing performed in just a few hours.. We were also given a certificate to appreciate the donation.. During their lifetime my fatherinlaw advocated this to everyone he met.. reading this i thought of them.. for the grand gesture..

Thank you Devika for a beautiful story that creates awareness to eye donation.
A few years ago I visited a school for visually challenged children in Bangalore. It is the Ramana Maharishi school. The children were amazing. They are taught so many life-skills. Some of them have a dance troupe.
A very nice piece of writing!

Dear Devika,
Another gem from you! So heart wrenching, at the same time felt happy that a young life benefited with the eye donation. Also that Sanjana could take care of this little one.....a sensitive story with a message for donating and reconciling with a loved one's death!
And what an apt title.....adopted vision.....superb!

A lovely story . It is a good way for spreading message for eye donation. People who lost somebody dear can find some peace that a part of that person is still with them, somewhere on earth.

Dear Janani,

I wish to let you know that I am in love with your avatar. This kid manages to bring a big grin on my face and i love this cute avatar.
Thanks a ton dear for the wonderful words. I am glad you liked the story. There are a lot of things in life to cry about but the real test is in finding happiness and satisfaction and one who manges to do that passes in flying colours in life and even after it.

Love,
Devika

Fate struck so cruelly!!! Nayana will surely give her a reason to live and 'see' life's colours.
Wonderful, my friend!!!!!!! Do keep them coming.

Dear Nakshatraa,

Thankyou so much for writing in. You are right we need to have faith in HIM. When fate closes one door faith opens another. We just need to realise it and do the best to make the most of what we can. Well thats life i guess.

Love,
Devika

But, when I read the last paragraph, realized that was the best replacement , she could have ever asked for... , just like a blood relative

It's just a very touching short story, which teaches, when god closes the door, he does opens the window...
