Dear Puspa,

Gone are those dyas when travelling was a plesant affair. I have seen people exchange pleasantries, share the food packets. It was a joy travelling. Now a days sometimes your journey end up with a sad note.

For the last 22years I have been travelling to Mumbai several times by bus. I travel by normal bus, Volvo, train and by Air like anyone.
Few days back I had to travel by volvo. A person who has journeyed by bus had a tough time. Never has this happened. Around 2AM I wanted to bring out. The ganway was dark and full of cartons. Reaching the driver in the dark was very difficult. Yet I managed to stop the vehicle out of sheer neccessity.
Again after sometime I could not control bringing out. Immdeiately I told the lady sitting in the next seat to tell the driver to provide me with a plastic bag. The lady said" Why don't you tell some men"?
Hearing this man occupying the seat before me came to my rescue. I was really happy.
But early morning whin I thanked him for his gesture he said""Aise log train me jaana hai. Kyom taklif dhetey ho?
I Only said"Ab rail ticket milna mushkil hai.

But while coming though I took the train I could get only the upper berth(I suffer from slip disc). But believe me the other passengers shifted themselves to other seats and I got the comfort of lying down till I reached the destination. Really I was compensated for all the ordeals during my return journey.
One thing for sure we find some people lack the ability to adjust or to be reasonable. kanaka

Dear Mrs.Pushpavalli Srinivasan,
That was a wonderful thread.
If we were in your position what would we have done?We would also have been mighty irritated, but what can you say to such insensitive people? Our upbringing tells ua to grit and bear, but how long.It is very irritating when copassengers do not understand or they are reluctant to understand the plight of the people who hold the reservation and expect to travel in some comfert.
I thoroughly enjoyed your narration of your darshan of The Perumal. But I am a very greedy person, please do write some more on your darshan, right from your entry into the temple till you came out.Dont mistake me for taking liberties, such precious gifts should be given in larger amounts.
Acharya Ramanuja’s Thaanaana Thirumeni.
Please tell me more of this sevai.
Thank you,
love

Dear Kanaka,
Sorry to hear about your Volvo travel experience. Some times it so happens, that even in train peole are not willing to exchange seats, About sharing food and plesantries, now we have to be alert of biscuit bandits and con men. Nowadays smoking is banned in trains and buses. Previously if we tell a smoker in a bus not to smoke he would say,"aap ko taxi mei jana hai." Now at least we are saved from this. Thank you for sharing your views,
Love,
PS

Dear Maithili,
At Thanjavur we visited all the three divya desams. We had darshan of Lord Nrusimha at Thanjai yali nagar. But at Manikunram bhattachari was not available, but we had darshan through the grill gate as the seccurity person allowed us. At Thanjai MaamaNi koil also, we Had darshan Of Neelameka Perumal through grill gate ony. At ThrukkaNtiyur we had ekantha sevai of Lord Harasapa Vimochana Perumal. At Thrukudalur we had ekantha darshan of Jagathrashaka Perumal and at Kapisthalam we had darshan of Lord Gajendra Varadan.
At Srirangam we went for Visvarupa Darsanam in the morning. But as we were a bit late we were unable to witness the veena recital, gho and Gaja pujai, but only while coming out we could do the prathashanam of the cow. Then we had darshan of Thayar and all the sannadhis in the praharam. We had darshan of Sri Ramanuja's Thanaana Thirumeni. The bhattar told that Sri Ramanuja.s stula sariram has been preserved and kept and we could see the nails of his toes and the nerves also. He showed us and it was really a thrilling experience. Already we had been to Srirangam many times, yet every time we do not miss the opportunity of having darshan of Emperumanar. The secnd day again we visited the temple in the morning and that day we were really blessed to have darshan of Lord Ranganatha adorned with dazzling diamond Thiruvadikal. As like Tirupathi people were told to move, but I managed to stay for a while by giving something to the bhattachari though I felt bad. I was tempted by Lord's enchanting beauty and so I committed this sin. Again we went to Udaiyavar Sannadhi and had darshan. We also went to THiruveLLarai where the Thayar is given prominance than Perumal. We witnessed the Vasantha Uthsava Purappadu. Reallly it was very fantastic. We had also taken pictures.
Thank you for showing interest. I'll try to post the pictures later.
Love,
PS

Dear dear Pushpa ,
How wonderfully you narrated your darshans!Thank you so much!

That SriRamanuja's body is preserved and youcould see his nails is news to me.I have not been to Srirangam often and even when we go to the temple we are always in a hurry. It has been my desire that atleast once my husband and I should visit a couple of old temples without any other agenda and linger over every sannadhi, every pillar enjoy the beauty and the sanctity of our temples.
When I go to Ranganathar sannadhi,I have seen many battars asking for donations and coming behind you.It is very irritating. You did not commit any sin.You gave money to have darshan of Perumal,if this is how they will allow darshan, then what can one do?
Yours was not a reply,in actual sense it was a beautiful write up on the various darshans we can have in the south temples.
Thank you once again.
Looking forward to the pictures,at your convenience.
love
mithila

Dear Maithili.
When you go to Srirangam next time, make it a point to Visit Udaiyavar sannadhi. Sri Ramanuja only established all the rituals and the daily, monthly and yearly uthsavams to be performed in the temple. He had built library and hospital during his life time. Please read in Religion and Spirituality, Sri Ramanuja, the Sri Vaishnava Saint and social reformer and post your comments when you get time.
Love,

If they travelling from mysore to bangalore only, they have to get down at bangalore main station only. They have no right to travel upto cantonment station. Maybe they were ignorant vilage people. I would have contacted the station master immediately.

Dear Swarna,
In Bangalore city station the coach number was not displayed in the station. By the time we checked it up and boarded the train and further arguing with the people the train departed and so we were waiting for the TTE to get our seats vacated. Any way they vacated our seas after much pursuation. Thanks for expressing your opinion,
Love,
PS
