Default Identify your car...in the lot..

Dear ilites,

How do you identify or spot your car or van parked in a parking lot?

You do it either by noting down the row number, or the street exit if in case of parking in the mall...or near the 'cart-pool' place...etc.( this is where my spotting comes...wait and see)
But my way of finding the parked car is extremely funny..but it works most of the times.. yeah...

You all know that I am a novice in car driving...so, (or read it as naturally) I do mess up in parking the cars.
Usually I don't park it straight or at an angle, if required..I always get into the parking space, back up, straighten up the wheel and then park correctly.
But sometimes, I don't correct it at all, keeping in mind the 'light crowd' at the parking lot...
I know you will be waiting for my clue as well as to check if your thought to it is correct...or ,ok ok, let her finish her 'suyapuranam' ( boasting)...

As I mentioned earlier, i don't park my car at any given time, correctly. That's how I spot my car...Where you find an irregular parking car, it must be mine...

Hey don't think I am at your place when you see that type of parked car...think of them as my folk....living in your area....
so how do you identify your car?????

Hi Sriniketanji,

Good one.. some times my Hubby makes fun of me in this issue.. everytime i goes to some other row and will be searching twice by challenging my husband we have parked here only.. atlast he will give a smile and simply presses the unlock button.. then it makes sound from some where else..

Funny Srini. Had a nice laugh! Good idea to park the car in an irregular manner to easily identify!

Well, I have spent many a embarrassing minutes roaming around my office parking lot looking for my car. This was when I first started working here 10+ years ago. Then I started pressing the lock key on the car remote to listen which direction the beep sound came from. In a large parking lot this did not work.

So finally I have a few different set of rules for different types of parking lots -
1. Work - I always try to park at the same spot or near by if "my" spot is taken.
2. Small parking lots - I try to park the farthest. If not, I park whereever I can and in my mind make a note of some landmarks around (like a light pole, or how is the parking spot placed in reference to the building I am going to etc.).
3. For large parking lots (airport, hospital types) - I note down the number on the floor I am parked and the exact spot number as well.

Look forward to comparing notes with you all here!
SS

thanks for your fbs and ideas... ramya, ss, supriya and sree...

Ramya, it is true that when we press the button, we can identify our 'car's sound'..but I am not able to hear that too...with so much noise around...

ss, nice idea, to park in the same spot...

supriya,
great idea to take hubby dear with us....

sree,
true ma...even I am alone or with my hubby, parking the car , at an angle is the copyright or my car-right?
