hi mithila mam,
very touching story.

some people never know the value of elders staying at home when they are alive and they do everything for their 'thithi' or srartham when they are no more.

i have seen it in many families, hopefully all this will change soon :)

regards,
sreelata.s

Mithila, My dear friend,

As usual was showered with your subtle and sweet advice to live the best life..

That's what we see in so many families. That's the Amma. She gets hurt. No doubt. But, she never changes her stand. A divine state of love which is not considered by some...how to address them?

dear mithila mam

i don't have any words, my eyes were filled with tears, very well written. reminds me of my 'periyamma' . she also went thru the same things, now she is no more, i always hated her daugther and son and daughter-in-law for that. these people don't even deserve a chance.

Dear Mithila,

I too had tears in my eyes and a heavy heart ! My God, how heartless are the people.....but really i do wonder how come the son remembers to do sradham spending so much, how is the dil allowing that! Yes i do know of such households......what to do ....such sad things seem to be happening in this kali yuga!

But that mother's soul always protects her children .......so true!
Very good writing, excellent, at the same time leaves a deep imprint!

Dear Mithila,

Hope your move went well? You are back and writing away with gusto...Did you unpack and was the move not too exhausting? Well, I admire your energy.

This was a very touching piece......So very sad. I do hope that there are not too many such children and if one does do sradham for elders, it is sincere. It had an eerie aura right from the first line...You brought out the pathos of it all very well.

And this Amma too has come to FP.....Congrats!

L, Kamla
