Default Re: Amma came Home

Dear varloo,
I do not know whether there is a salvation at all.Sometimes I feel like crying from the rooftop,"Old age is a curse".It is a complicated issue. While you can not totally blame the children in some cases, because elders also behave in very irresponsible way,not understanding the tensions that the son and the DIL undergo in the changed social scenario,in some other cases the parents are to be pitied only.
Someone suggested to me while discussing this topic that old age home is the only solution. In India we look upon old age home as places where the parents are dumped. No,the attitude has to change.
Old age homes are places where the parents should voluntarily opt to spend the evenings of their lives peacefully .
love
