Barbeque Nation A Grill Fare For Lunch In Bangalore

BARBEQUE NATION A JOINT TO THRILL IN FOOD hai friends had a nice lunch at the above mentioned place this Sunday. It is at the end of a flyover coming from koramangala or while coming from indiranagar it is just before the flyover onto your left side. So as we entered the venue the ambience was just like any other hotel, One large hall lined up with many tables with small partitions in between. Now a guy comes and introduces and briefs about how one is being served here, like they start with the grilled stuff right on to your table, there is a square gap in the centre of the table to place the hot charcoal grill and veg and non veg items as per preference been skewed up and brought in the skewers to be rested on the grill, the non veg is already half done in tandoor and just on the grill for the final touch with some sauces kept on the side of the table. The items on skewers are, prawn, fish tikka, chicken tikka, veg capsicum, cauliflower, mushrooms, and one can add the mustard sauce, oriental and red chillie sauce, the thrill is grilling yourself turning over by adding the sauces, then there is large chunks of marinated panneer. They also serve grilled chicken and hariyali kabab from inside the tandoor. CHICKEN CURRY THAI TYPE CHICKEN AND CHETTINAD CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI Once you are over with these grills you can take a walk around the buffet corner filled with veg and non-veg soup, then they have chicken curry, mutton dum biryani, and in the veg section kofta curry, pastha in red sauce, Goan type of veg and veg biryani, white rice,alu mutter.. MIX AND MATCH SALAD WITH SPROUTS AND FRUIT CHUNCKS ALONG WITH THE REGULAR CARROT AND LETTUCE. The salad is with all the fresh veg like carrot sliced and lettuce leaves and spring onions, even mixed curd rice is available here. Pappad and pickles of varieties are also available. You are served beer and other mocktails which are very good but the price is very high on these, and small beer is 200rs and the other drinks are 100. PASTRIES, GULAB JAMUN RABRI, ICE CREAM AND NUTS BABY GULAB JAMUN all in a plate ice cream, rabri, pastry, fruit gulabjamoon and chocolate filled cake Now coming to the dessert we have baby gulab jamoon, lemon soufflé, which I found too stiff , ice cream with all the chocolate sauce and mango sauce and strawberry sauce with nuts available for you to garnish yourself. Small pastries, with rabri, and chocolate filled cakes which soft on the palette. Service is very fast and unlimited grill keeps changing as we finish them, and unlimited, one could just eat grills and take dessert. Costing comes to 450rs per head and taxes extra, but with a difference, The also have an email id. Barbeque Nation forgot to add i noticed a new phenomenon, most ladies paid the bill either by cash or card, whew what a change... sunkan all photograph taken by me with my cell

Hi Sunkan,that was a nice visual treat....will make it a point to try it the next time...looks interesting....always game to try new places..only problem is holidays are always hectic with all friends and relatives in namma bengaluru and catching up witjh them becomes the priority....anyway I am sure u had a good time....

Food, being a veg. only enjoyed those with salad and dum biryani ( is it veg.?) and also the desserts...

Yes, I am a vegetarian and love salads, Pulav and gulob jamun.

Somehow, the menu is not appealing for me !

sharadha, they serve veg too,
but only thing i find veg people dont go into the mixed places they have separate units for both...sunkan
