Default Storm Creating Gyrating Cheer Leaders

What do u think of cheer leaders?

They are a lot brought all the way from America by the well connected
And enlightened society of India,
Leaders and business man have an eye to increase their business,
Politicians want to weigh to see how the public react with announcement
Of vulgarity and enlightening the forgotten culture

People on the field enjoying the gyrating moves of these ladies
Just to pump their adrenalin just looking those white skins swaying
Satiating the rare treat to the eyes with salivating mouth
The item girls of bollywood may be squirming that
They may have to learn the new latest moves in gyration

Kolkata is planning for new dresses with their gold and black color
Will they come up with the dehathi ghaghra and choli
To satiate the nethas and the old school of thoughts
Will there be hue and cry about this view being censored
What will the plight be, and how would their future here be?
Will the west think India is only ahead in IT
Gere was pooh poohed for kissing our own shilpa shetty
and now these cheer leaders,
Will the leaders plan and think before they blunder
Always planning half baked fly over,
with trees in rows been plundered

Or is it that Indian cricket taking the new role with a thunder
Nethas pointing wife and children all watch this vulgar
Shahrukh say so what? even my family watch it with wonder.
Are some people getting guilty for want of forgetting our culture?
The clash of old and new have always been in cross section
To go ahead or not has always been in question
The heads have rolled answering either way to be scorned
Will our asian culture accept easily the new norm

I fail to understand all the choas created regarding the cheer leaders. We are already used to silver screen heroines being scantily dressed. So this is almost the same.I recently saw an ad in NDTV for recently released movie of Karina Kapoor.I was shocked. She was scanitly clothed. There was no difference between her andthe cheerleaders. So when everyone was keeping quiet about this why create a racket about the cheerleaders.Even Sreya was badly dressed in Sivaji.I really really fail understand..........

I say the Cheer Leaders should be banned......what with their skimpy outfits and dance......it is "nonsense and distracting" as some of the leaders say and also offending.

Dear Sundari, kanaka

At home both of us (husband&me) were discussing the same thing. We thought they are Russian girls coming to cheer up! Rakhi Sawant will have no market in their presence. She will look Bacchha ! Channels also want them to get more TRP. kanaka

It is a shame and disgusting to see this. i don't understand the concept of this stripped cheer leading - what's the point these people want to make here?. Why it has always been India in depromoting its own culture under the cover of fashion, style, trend - i don't understand. So, what's the next generation learning from this?..

I wish at some point people who consider adapting to western culture is a favour that they are doing to the Indian society and realize that it is not so and retrace back to being the simple and gracious Indian.!

Mere Chote Bhai Kamal
I am with you totally. If you have seen these mythological films and TV plays, you will be surprised to see the 24x7 dancing by bewitching girls in the courts of Shiva, Narayan and even the comparatively lesser placed Indra. The last named has the best ones in town! Ramba, Ooorvashi, Thilothama, you name them and he has them! They can be more explosive than these poor cheer girls who have to toil it out at over 40C and suffocating humidity. So when the mighty gods themselves are having a good time, we, the poor mortals can be excused for combining cricket with a bit of fun. As regards their scanty clothes, what else you expect them to wear in this cruel Indian summer?

It is OK watching them from the comfort of your home with whisky in hand but go to the ground where you are roasted alive, you'll have no appetite for such forms of entertainment!

Dear Sri,

Well said .Yes it is better to watch from the comfort of my home, than to be roasted alive.

with the heat and humidity that Chennai has, it is a wonder thse cheerleaders wear any clothes at all.

You are so wise Sri.Must share a drink with u soon, and learn so many things from you.Regards.kamal

Hi Sunkan,

I am not for banning the Cheer Leaders. The apparel they wear can be changed as Indian Spectators cant handle something so hot and that too so close with dignity.

I am not sure about their educational qualifications and personal details. I find it a decent profession if they are happy with it.

It is better than prostitution and bar dancing which ends up in ....

When I see such girls, I always wonder about their family.

dear mals,
i think indians have to brush up their memory, in those days i remember in 70's been to kerala with my husband for the first time and i was blushing all the time u know why? all ladies working in the fields and bathing ghat were all topless and they never cared a hang and would say how long are these guys going to see? let them, then they will get over it.

then slowly urbanisation went into their villages and they have covered all, but for even older generation i would say it is the way how human sees this, i have only brought to light the inner meaning for bringing these girls here, the business man wants to make more money by bringing more guys to the ground, the politician is trying the madil poonai they say a cat on the wall unable to decide what to choose to get the votes, whether old or young, men are men and any viewer ship of this kind is great, here i have tried to bring to light, among all those chaos india is getting spruced up with all those western ideas, why not?

haven't our IT people brought about a change in lifestyle in India aren't the cricketers earning heavenly packages, so when u get to view all these changes.

it is so nice on the field to see srisanth being passified by sangakkara i think a lankan man and so many other co ordination which we were not exposed to before, so cheerleader is just a cream lining to the layers already laid here, mallaya wants to bring in his influence from abroad to expose to our guys here...so nothing bad people who complain will complain but the majority here is enjoying so either u join the wagon and move on or be left behind as life moves on..sunkan
