Honey..I'll be ready in 5 minutes

hi all,

i am the one who takes a long time to get ready...but like sreeni says i do a lot of other things than just getting ready..but my hubby is ready in no time and infact is so sure that he will be ready before me..that he raises my bp but not making any attempt to get ready till the last 10 mins..so now i have become wise to his ways and do not get tense....

i had an aunt who was pretty slow
she used to have dentures...
the moment she enters the bathroom
it will be bolted from the outside
by my brother...
and then a whole lot of questions...
do you want nail polish?
do you want vim for brushing your teeth
(dentures) sparkling white
just like the add...
how about dear old surf
for your wavy hair?
sometimes she will demand they open soon
and my brother and cousins will refuse...
it is not one hour yet....!!
she used to take it in good stride
and lock them in...!!

Very interesting topic...A regular fare in all house holds.
I need to be precise here.. it depends on my dress code.If a casual outing I'am ready quickly but if it is a wedding or any other occassion that demands a saree I do need my time.
On such occassions I start well ahead of time (say 1/2 hour ahead!) and finish on dot.

Nice thread..........I am in your boat I finish all the work and get ready and I will see my dear DH still getting ready...........Now i can tell men take more time to dress up then females...........

When our family decides the time we are leaving the house, be it any where, im there all dressed up on dot time or atleast 5-10mins time. Im very punctual and dont like latecomers.I wud skip some of my other work to get ready. My hubby however will not be late but takes his own sweet time to get ready. If at all we are late anywhere it wud be due to him and not me :)

this is really nice topic...i think many people dont realize how much time they take to get ready...i know many of friends and relatives like this..but i take only fifteen minutes and ready to go out...When i read this post the person who came to my mind was my lovely sister ..she take at least one hour for shower..and then another half an hour to dress up and comb then she takes rest for five minutes and then she is ready to go.....so we tell her two hrs prior to get ready so that she can join us...and sunday she will be the last person to have shower so that none should wait for one hour..my dear sister..anyways i tried spend one hour for shower but i couldnt..ha but i think this problem sometimes becomes a hot argument for few people ....

Count me in those who get readsy in a jiffy. Now a lot of things are situational. If you want be to be our in a jiffy, pronto I'm there, but if you tell me that you've got a couple of hours then I do so very leisurely.
Well and between us whoever gets readu first dresses up my daughter. So we are all almost ready around the same time, maybe I take a little while longer for formal do's. Also I guess we ladies have so much advantage to display the fineries and we love to do so meticulously. So Shringaar of a woman might take a while longer than Men, unless the Man is a hardcore meterosexual!!
