EXTRA SENSORY PERCEPTION (ESP)
I woke up one morning , with a feeling that there won’t be water today. I ran down the stairs to the kitchen and turned the faucet only to find that there was indeed no water.
I called my husband, He came running down , almost in response to my early morning Suprabhat as he calls it .”Ugh What happened,”? “ No water”…. I almost shrieked. Mmmm … he replied and looked least worried. “No problem ,sweetheart ! Its happened before. We’ll call in a tanker and order some Bisleri and call in some food. What are you so panicky about?” He looked at me as though gazing at a specimen from space. “Its not that,” I said.” I knew about it .You know an intuition …my ESP”….”What??”. “My ESP Extra Sensory Perception”,…. “Well Good” he mused . ”Now if you would only use the other senses just as well “,he chucked. I lost it .After introducing him to a rainbow of words, (which I’m sure he barely heard) I went off.in a huff . I had felt it before. The day my neighbors kid who had given interviews for admission in numerous school received a call. I got an intuition that she would get a call from St. Thomas. Infact I went to tell Sadhana that Kanika ,her daughter will get an admission in St. Thomas ,if my intuitions were anything to go by. I went to tell her, rang the bell and she opened the door and before I could say anything , Sadhana said “Hey you know I got a call from St,. Thomas, Kanika’s in. Isn’t that great news.”?…..I merely looked at her. There its happened again.I came back home and drank some water. My throat was very dry. Yes I was getting strong intuition. It was very scary .I didn’t want to experience it. I just wanted to be as normal as my hubby.
Another incident was when I was pregnant but it was the initial stages and my neighbor, an old aunt came one morning and asked me if I was pregnant. And I said “NO…”I never saw any symptoms of it . No nausea , no sickness, no pickle fetish “Are you sure”, she asked and I said I was .I mean I almost was.
And she said confidently, ”No dear you’re pregnant.” And I was confused. Pregnancy wasn’t a viral that you could catch from anywhere. How did she know.? “That evening I got a pregnancy test done and got the aunt’s news confirmed. I was pregnant but how did Aunty know.? I went to her first thing in the morning and she said “I knew I felt it one morning that you would come to my house with your pregnancy news and I told you.” Another case of ESP or intuition

Well after a few days, The flashes came again. This time it was of some body lying down , I couldn’t see the face but the person who died had blue shorts and a white cloth flying over him and I was there in the scene crying. I got panicky. The scene kept coming in flashes during my sleep .I just couldn’t sleep all night. Who was it? My God I was so scared. This ESP was making my survival difficult. The moment my hubby got up I told him about it. He gave me a patient listening and since I had proven to be right in my intuitions before, he believed me but asked me to relax. But how could I? Anyway I began with my routine work and asked hubby to get some vegetables from the lane. While he was leaving ,I saw that he was wearing blue shorts. I stopped him. I told him not to go out in the blue shorts , we argued on it for a few minutes but then he relented. He changed into a beige one and then I let him go
The whole day I was feeling uneasy. I just coudnt relax…A feeling of deep discomfort kept nagging me. In the late evening my hubby sent me a bouquet from office asking me to cheer. I felt better . After all the day was almost over I didn’t have to worry.
After dinner we went for a long walk. Just kept discussing things and glad that my intuition didn’t work I was ok with it .Infact happy since this thing was really difficult to handle. We stopped for an ice-cream. As we stood outside the parlour ,I saw a very cute boy about 10 years seated nearby enjoying his cone. He licked and lapped oblivious of the my eyes on him. He looked like an adorable darling. I mentioned this to my husband . He too gave him a loving look. Just then I met my neighbour and we began chatting .
SuddenlyI heard a kid scream.,I looked around and saw a crowd gathering and a few people hurling abuses at a car speeding away. Fearfully I went near the crowd and there was the cute boy . He had been hit by that speeding car. I just couldn’t speak .I saw that the kid was wearing blue shorts His mother was crying uncontrollably her white duppatta flying over the kids body . My hands became very cold. My eyes filled with tears and they were streaming down . I looked at my husband and he instantly came and hugged me and I burst into tears. My intuition was right .Oh how I wish I had sent the face of the person How I wish I had seen the shorts that kid was wearing I could have probably forewarned him. Probably averted this Oh God ! How I wish I could have stopped it.
The Ambulance that my husband called in had arrived and we went to AIMS . He was declared dead before admission. A sad end of a beautiful child . I was crestfallen.

Dear Friends, do you believe in Extra Sensory Perception.(ESP). Do you get intuition?
Sometimes does it happen that you’re thinking of somebody and they land up at your house or call you?.Do you get strong intuitions when your partner has lied to you or perhaps is crossings the limits of marriage.? Does something forewarn you? Are you often forwarned by some force about certain happenings good or bad.? Women are generally known to possess very active intuitive powers. You call them sixth sense or telepathy. How do you feel about it? Do share such incidents and your experiences here. I’m sure we will be all be very interested in knowing more about this force that is existing within us .

Even i have it sometimes.This hapn'd long ago.My neighbour kid,he was only 3yrs old and i would spend most of my time playing with him and he had bloodcancer.One day morning 3 am,i had a dream,the kid waving his hands like ta ta and flying from me.Just after half an hour we got the sadnews that the kid is no more.From that day
i get some intuitions like this.Whenever i am in search of something, that would automatically come to me.That too in the past 5 months of my us stay, i am experiencing some positive waves around me which directs me whereever i go.I never disclosed my feelings to anyone.
i think this may be due to unusual brain usage.Our brains have got enormous powers,but we use only a very small portion of it.sometimes unusually without our knowledge we use our brains little more.May be because of that we get intuitions.i have read this in some book.

I also feel in my bones that I have ESP prowess. Sometimes, I think of someone or something and lo in a couple of days, I hear/see something related to that. In fact, I have been thinking about this hard for the last couple of days and here is your article.

This is what I felt. I assume that when we feel that we have ESP, we are calling very much into our Hindu spiritual beliefs of things being pre-ordained by destiny. We are not going by the Western notion of things happening based on probability, chance,random events etc.

For example if I feel that there will be a bus accident in two days.Now, what I assume here is that all the three tenses/states- past,present and future are supposedly suspended in a string of existence. And I can see the future. Now, I am assuming that the bus crash is pre decided and I am having a glimpse into the future. I am passive here, so to say. I am not giving credence to other factors like the bus going normally, a cat running in front,a brake failing, the bus crashing. The brake failing since a mechanic did not repair it properly. The mechanic not repairing it cos his wife fought with him. So, I am not factoring in the different random events, nor am I even considering the probabilities of each random event happening or not happening,and the sum effect of all these different effects interacting.

I know that Westerners belive in ESP too. However, though I would like to think that I have ESP, I dont want to shoot the stars based on that.

You always make us think.Good going,girl! But I do feel sorry for the little boy who died.

Have you seen the movie, Minority report? In my opinion, it is the greatest movie ever. It talks about something similar to ESP, though in a different way. And it does say, that the future can be controlled by the strength of the individual self and reasoning. I dunno if my understanding of that movie is fully right, but it does say that things need not necessarily be pre ordained. No pre ordained events, no ESP.

it happens to me also many times. for me these intuitions come in a peculiar way. i get intuitions about peoples death. this saddens me a lot.

if a person comes to my mind every now and then with a smiling face, extremely beautiful, the person dies. they get either hospitalized for illness or some mishap. i don't get any intuition on people who commit suicide.

recently i had an intuition regarding a girl's marriage. i go to samithi bajans in a temple nearby. that temple's priest had fixed his daughter's marriage and invited us for the engagement. somehow i didn't feel comfortable attending the engagement. all other samithi members went for the engagement.

we members decided and bought a silver article to be gifted for the marriage. most of the members said that we would give the gift calling the bride to the temple before marriage. because they thought in the wedding place, it will be crowded and since the place is far away it will take time for us to return. they asked for my opinion. i said we would gift after tying the knot. but they all decided their own way.

just one week before the marriage, the girl ran away with her lover. to say the truth, i had an intuition that this marriage will not take place. but i did not say this to anybody. we ended up consoling the priest.

but these intuitions do not come often. so i do not bother much about it. if you are very serious about your intuitions you need to see a Doctor.

Yes pwolple all over the world believe in the ESP and one has no control over it .It is not a deliberate or voluntary sense .You cannot use it as you feel like as is the case with the other senses.
Well I havent seen Minority Repost, but have seen Sixth Sense and our very own 100 days .It tackles this topic very well.

Hi Vanaja,

Thanks for writing in. Well intuitions are a sixth sense that 90% of women experience.Good or bad but you get a kind of premonition. No doc in the world can do anything about it. It is a force or power you experience within yourself and nothing circumstantial. The commonest ones are when people youve been thinking about suddenly land up at your doorstep or call you.

What you experience is the commonest form of intuition.I guess many a times parents have very strong intuitions regarding their children.

This is one topic that has caused lot of disturbances in my life.

Well First of all, would like to talk about the types of esp's so that each of the experiences that have been discussed here..(having read a lot on the topic, about experiences of others, to understand myself) ..

ESP or extrasensory perception is perception occurring independently of sight, hearing, or other sensory processes. And not all of the person's having ESP's can be classified as psychics.

Telepathy,Tele-empathy,Clairvoyance,Precognition,Remoteviewing,Pr ecognition,Premonition,Dowsing, Deja Vu,
Telephathy is a communication between two or more people without even speaking a word. it is transmission of thoughts and feelings.

Tele-Empathy -When someone feels the physical pain or the mental and emotional situation of somebody else this is called tele-empathy.Feeling someone else's emotions or mental state is the most common form of a psychic phenomenon.The most common example are twins and then mother and child.


Clairvoyance is the ability of a person to "clearly see" present or future events or situations at will. There are lot of people who have this ability and some have made a business of this.Rant.

Precognition is common. Usually it pinpoints a dramatic event in someone's own life or in the life of a loved one .

A premonition is a feeling about something to happen in a specific way without any details given. there are long term and short term feelings.

Dowsing - this is an talent. All of must be aware of people who could trace water tables and treasures. this talent is called dowsing and these people are called dowsers. Once I had the opportunity of seeing a old man, just taking a stick and circling a field. after sometime, he came to a point, and put his stick there, and asked people to dig a well there..and there was a good source of water.

Dejv Vu, -. We sometimes meet person, or places which give a feeling that we have met or seen before. A feeling of Deja Vu.

There are pyschic who use these talents to trace lost items, lost people and also details about murder and all.
