| Today a guy came to collect the cheque for some bank, dressed so shabbily I wondered what gave him the idea I may handover the cheque to a man who is not even dressed like coming from a bank, with those dirty pull overs and a hanky tied around his head with a long bag hanging over his shoulder with a slip dangling away. He looked like some road side fellow out to cheat you. When I told him there is a lot many difference in fact I need to pay more and have a cheque for that, all my argument went over board and he kept staring at my well endowed form. Ever felt men keep looking at your bossom than your face while they speak they are not even aware that they are staring and each time we need to pull down the pullav to make them realize our face is above and not there. How many of you face this could you enlighten here, ..sunkan

| Dear sunkan, Can exactly get what u r trying to tell here. I have also had a v bad experience. It was some years ago and i was just in my 11 or 12th in college.I had just come back from college and there was nobody at home.I was keeping my books and things aside and by the time i could close the door one eureka forbes sales man barged into the house...literally he just barged in and sat on the sofa. I was trying to tell him that my parents are out and i can not buy the products. But believe me he stayed for almost 1 hr and then one neighbor who had seen that man come into our house saw that his bike was still there. That uncle screamed at him, that is when that man went out. That experience shook me up to reality. I am and have been a careful woman throughout but still sometimes we get caught in such situations. suji Last edited by Sujimallige; 27th February 2008 at 09:12 AM. |

| Hi Sunkan Read your thread and would like to share an experience i had when in college. I was commuting by bus at night when I saw an old man sitting opposite me . He was staring at me. I thought i probably reminded him of his daughter. But that didnt seem to be the case here. Though there was enough place in the bus he came and stood near me and brushed his hand over my er... My parents had always taught me to respect elders but this wasnt just an old man , he was a pervert. When I looked up at him,he smiled at me in such a way that all hell broke loose.I got him and gave him a resounding slap.He got down in the next stop. He would prob carry it with him to the grave and stop his actions. We can understand Boys will be boys and a little bit of looking , well we can overlook that but pervert attitude should be dealt with sternly. After the episode I was known as a GOONDI by the boys. Regards, Devika |

| Sunkan, I have faced this several times - in office, on public roads, in bus-stops and in buses. Colleagues in office staring at inappropriate places and not looking at the face is so common. Young and old, the well-dressed and the shabby one's, the educated and illiterate - all indulge in this. I once told a person in my office - "Look at my face when you speak".

| Hi Sunkan, I used to face this problem in a previous company I worked. My manager used to stare at all the wrong places while conversing with me. He was a man in his middle age and i used to feel very uncomfortable conversing alone with him. Finally i quit that company and found a new job. I wasnt brave enough to ask him stop doing what he was doing instead I quit the job like a loser. -Priya |
