We spend our childhood & formative years without them.

They cannot hear you telling them about your day but they can hear cricket score from 3 blocks away!

We get tied in holy matrimony to them.

Then we wonder how we lived without them.

You are right when you say about missing them. I used to complain about Hubby's snoring. When I in hospitlaised for surgery, I could not sleep. Tossed & turned around.

Wondered why? I missed Hubby's snoring. It had become a sort of an " Aangaai geet" (lullaby) (I had to grudgingly admit it)

I spent 2 sleepless nights in the hospital. When I came home, hubby started his Sound of music & guess what? I slept!

Dear Devika,
Perfectly etched lines(and i can see it being written with a lot of love too) for the one person with whom we share ourselves with (a person who in turn drives us crazy with so many of their follies?)
One word of encouragement from my dear husband, a small loving smile, a casually thrown hand over my shoulder when we are sitting, his fingers entwined in mine when we walk together, his hands caressing my hair while sleeping and i forget all those small follies and start feeling SPECIAL AND LOVED all over again.
