 An officer and a gentleman Hello, One of the officers of the Indian Army, Col. Vasanth Venugopal was killed in anti terrorist operations in July 2007. He will be awareded the Ashok Chakra posthumously this republic day. He was my father's friends son and I had the privilege of meeting him a couple of times. A true officer and a gentleman. We should take a few moments to think of our brave soldiers on the frontline who risk everything to keep our country safe.
