Hello Sriniketan
Another interesting topic nice one. I choosed to be a home maker. after my studies worked with dad in his firm but just for experience. As in our community usually ladies don't work but now I know everyone works. In spare time did some odd stuffs, when kid started going to school in spare time, But always prefered to be a homemaker. and today I am happy and proud to be one. As looking after the house and family I get lot of time to do something on my own, merry around and all

thanks for stepping in!
Me too waiting for Shan's response.
I totally accept that you are a career person before and after marriage.

only in cinemas, fighting, duets with many people is possible and so this is ;veettodda maappillai' case. 'sach bolthe ho, yaar'

Hi Sriniketan

Nice thread indeed!
I believe the phrase - 'working women' doesnt make sense!!
Why???
Because every woman is always working - employed or not - home or home+job.
And i firmly think that with the extra responsibility of being able to bear the baby of the family she is the superhuman-being!

As for me, i am a career person and love the financial independance and awareness that it gives me. But due to the choice i made, i am currently sitting at home - VISA restrictions. Anyhow, i am trying to enjoy this break for me coz once i am back to my career life, there are no breathers whatsoever.

Cheers!
Charu..

Dear Sri, interesting topic. I was career minded person always. I started appearing for competitive exams as soon as i completed 18 years of age and many jobs came thro' in central excise dept, insurance etc. I chose insurance and started working and got married after 2 years. I continued to work for the next four years as i didnot have issues till then. Then my darling daughter was born. I exhausted all the leave i had stayed with her for about 10 months and after that i didn't feel like going for work and she also started missing me very much once i started working. She used to be very sensitive and used to cling to me once i get back from work. My husband and i started feeling for her. But i couldn't quit the job as it was a govt. job and for us it was something important at that stage. Then my husband started looking for jobs outside the country. He got a good placement in Kuwait. When we decided to take up the offer we made it a point that i wouldnot work on coming to Kuwait. When my daughter had completed her 2 years we came to Kuwait and i didn't take up the job offers that came my way afterwards. I am fully devoting my time for my child and hubby and we make a happy family. I am enjoying each and every development of both of them and happily taking care of their needs. I gives me immense pleasure to be a homemaker now. I feel i have tasted both sides of the cake now.
