women adorn jewel to please self and people around and for some two nose rings are a must especially when it is sharp and good to decorate, so pl keep a nose pressing stud on the left side and see for self if it is good then go ahead, pain is nothing in anticipation of beautifying your face, woman go through so many pain the enjoyment they derive in the aftermath cannot be expressed in words...sunkan

My mom has one on left nose. In our place people used to have nose studs on left nose. And it looks really gr8 looking to stone/diamond studs which used to shine in light. I would love to wear that if this whole process will be painless....but no.........I know its horrible////////terrible......
But now a days this stud fashion has rose so high that gender no longer is a limitation. And talking about the part of body where to wear these..........we can't even imagine to see boys/girls wearing ornaments on.........parts.
I saw many girls are now wearing "tongue studs"......"eye-brow studs"......."upper lip and lower lip rings".........rings on naval ares.........studs on ear cartilages...........OMG...........
I would love to wear two earings but this piercing pain is helding my inspirations low.......
Great idea and so is the post...........
Regards.
nowadays they have this shot gun method where the gold nose ring or the ear ring is inserted and a quick shot and it goes right in along with the gold ornament so only the back side is screwed in and lo u have the ring ready into it, not like old times to keep the stick with oil or thread with oil then select a grt day to put the golden ornament, i leave it to you, pasand apni apni, khayal apna apna...am i right ...sunkan

Hi everybody

Mine wasnt a "painful" story !! i went to the doc .. got a shot of local anaesthesia and got the nose pierced. this was way back in the early 70s.. but much to my mom's chagrin. I pierced my left nose

The nose ring ( the single diamond) has stayed on from then......

cheers

hi,

i got my nose pierced through "thattan" (Goldsmith). i bought a full fledged nose stud with a white american diamond stone (one studded). the goldsmith kept a thorn like sharp tool behind the stud where we insert the screw and pierced it gently on my nose. he didn't even mark the area to be pierced.

to my wonder, i didn't experience any pain which shows the goldsmith's experience.

i got my nose pierced on my will and nobody compelled me for that.

Wow! Interesting thread.

In my family, there is no custom to pierce it essentially. My elder sis doesnot have it pierced it yet. I used to like it. So I got it done way back in 10 th std. I think I got it done through those hawkers who visit colonies. I remember it wasnot very painful. But for some days I had to oil the nose .

In south , do you folks pierce right side of nose?. I have my left side of nose pierced.

I have stuck with same nose ring for past eight years. it s very small golden one. I just wanted to maintain the piercing.

dear vanaja,
we go to the gold smith is to pierce into the skin but avoid many veins that run through there, to save the infection and healing process later, both my children went for the ear lobe piercing but my second one who was my mother's fav always had infection and my elder one all smooth, so here it is again the vein, which we pray so much that nothing should come in the way...happy to not your incident passed off easily..sunkan

nice to hear your side ria,
we do go in more for the right side, though i am not aware why, may be some of our friends here can enlighten if they know the reason, and when done when one is young the skin also is more supple and heals fast, ladies and adornment is like hand in glove, even while drawing or painting you leave it without jewels it gives a different effect...nice to see so many beauties here with nose rings..sunkan
