To Eyes with Love...............

I was seeing some health related program, and remembered a particular incident which my Dh went through.

I don’t know the exact reason, but due do some chemical accident my Dh s eyes were hurt.



The ENT specialist advised rest for his eyes after thorough treatment. His eyes were blind folded for 5days.


It was very difficult for him to carry on his day to day routine works. He was supposed to sit in a place without any idea about the outside world.


He had people around him for 24/7 to give food and to do all his work, but he was not able to accept the temporary blind situation.


The results were almost normal. He was confused whether he would be able to see the world again with the same vision.

The so said 5days were over and blindfolds were removed.

He was again told to give rest to his eyes for 3weeks without seeing any source of light. His eyes were watering continuously.

More than missing tv,friends,work….he was worried about seeing his own eye in mirror again.

With Gods grace he was fine and vision was back to normal in 3weeks.


I would like to share a poem which he wrote after the recovery period----





பசி பட்டினியால் உடல் மெலிந்து
சொல்லாத துயரத்தால் மனம் நொந்து
பொல்லாத பிணி நேர்ந்து
வாட்டி வதைத்து
உயிர் பிரிந்தாலும்;
என் அருமை கண்ணே
நீ மட்டும் இறவாதே
இன்னொருவன் வாழ்வுக்கு பார்வை கொடு.




My soul may leave away

When I become weak due to scarcity of food (or)
When I become sad due to dire consequences (or)
When I become sick due to severe illness or diseases

But in all the above circumstances, I always request my two eyes not to die.
Because it could give someone a life by gifting them a vision.
