Hi Vandhana,
It is a good idea to hand out cheetos and doritos... I believe you also suggested handing out juice boxes in another thread. I will try to do it next year.

Thanks
Gayathri

Well, last year as treats, i had handed out packets of cheetos, doritos etc.... and all the kids who came this year, asked me for the same. I was amazed that these kids remembered what i gave them last year!!

Yes if we keep the candy at home, it is going to end up in our waistline

Halloween was really good with all of us having fun. Most of the kids who show up at my door for trick r treats are my neighbors. The oldest one was about 11 I think. My youngest being 2 1/2 was very eager to wear his costume. Looking at all the color makes me feel really good as kids are generally in plain colors generally. I wanted to hand out crackers, pretzels, popcorn or drink for treats, my oldest said please treat my friends with candy....Dah... Oh, well they have not demanded for any candies yet, 1 a day only and I'm yet to get rid of most them.

During my first Halloween, I had no clue yet. I saw some kids in costumes and wondered what was I missing. When the doorbell rang, I opened and it is up to guesses what happened then... I turned off the lights and did not answer the door that night.

dear gayathri,
wish you had elaborated and added some picture to make your article very colorful as it is. i know the fear the foreigner put in us, we need to catch up quick to get to know them, they also seem to know about our ignorance and take advantage, next time around dont forget to add panchai to the little one, it will look different..sunkan

Hi Rekha, Tulasi, Tamanna,
I am glad you all had a wonderful time this halloween. I guess having kids makes all the difference as we get caught up in the costume prep.
I am waiting for next year when I will be dressing up my kid and shopping for the outrageously priced halloween dresses (most kids wear these once) and still buying one or 2!

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Gayathri
