    Guess what, I was just telling DH today before dinner that once we retire and settle down I am going to do lots of cooking......yes ma.....aren't you srprised ?? Everything started off when I opened this small packet of pickle (Re. 7) and he was saying that we cannot afford this which would last us only 2 days and "kattupadi aagaadhu" in retirement so I promptly replied........I will start preparing my own pickles, vadaams, etc learning the nuances and the techniques.....

    This is the reason for me to immediately respond when I saw your article tonight !!

    Post-retirement, the inclination to cook will be less; just remember that!
    I read the following in a magazine & I simply loved it!

    Life’s Recipe:

    1 cup of good thoughts

    1 cup of kind deeds

    1 cup of consideration for others

    2 cups of sacrifice for others

    3 cups of forgiveness

    3 cups of well-beaten faults!

    Mix the above ingredients thoroughly.
    Add tears of joy, sorrow & sympathy for others.
    Flavour with little bites of love.
    Fold in four cups of prayer and faith.
    Pour into daily life and bake well with the heat of human kindness.
    SERVE WITH A SMILE !
