Pleasure

Pleasure :
A tiny word filled with so many connections, it opens a plethora of feelings for many things is life, whether it is designer wear, or ultra modern cars like Toyota, Mercedes and Benz to travel, the plush interiors, the speed and a cozy drive making you feel on top of the world.

The pleasure of drinks, clothes, shoes, lifestyle, wonderful furnishings for home, passages with greenery, flowering plants sending fragrance all over the garden, cut flowers inside the rooms, sometime little flowering shrubs in corners, making you feel heady

The pleasure of food from various part of the world, reminding one about the thirsty traveler walking through lanes and homes and hotels - tasting the exotic, unreachable. Triggering an urge in your palette, the exotic dishes arranged keeping you informed about the oncoming latest on your plates.

The pleasure of a cig sending a heady feeling with relaxation, various favourite brands, from cigar to a mere beedi, and the frothy beer to vodka to gin, whisky and rum with the latest wine, you name and you have it in your cellar. An around the world cruise with full moon new moon and so many shades and light that light up the sky with a panoramic hue for you to relax and view.

The pleasure of having the mere presence of older parents around in your twilight years to assure you the moral support needed to any human, the sibling who is a favourite, the spouse who understands your feelings and acts accordingly,[no it is no dream] some are very lucky, the ever available shoulder, for you to slide down, and discuss your life or spend a silent moment is the spring in any man’s life, the children repaying what you have invested from love to education come back into your arms with abundance love, the arrival of new relation[their spouse], who ease your life with their contribution, the grand children who take away your breath make you pray for more life to be around to see them grow.

The pleasure sight of a little hand getting filled with mixed food by your grandparents, telling bedtime stories, the worried look when you fall and always a supporting voice to cheer when you are low, the running of fingers through your hair near the forehead sending soothing heady feeling. Unconditional love of a pet that demands your attention and awaits your arrival however late, demanding to be seated on your lap while watching a TV.

The rocking hands with calm music, wafting smell of hot food, the out of city country drive,with friends takes you to a different world, the pleasure of chat, the connectivity wherever you go let life follow, The rickshaw pullers sweat at the end of the day, the paltry sum he could save after the expense to see the smile in his wife’s face, the cheap booze to ease off his physical pain, the small little tidbits he could afford at the end of a day.

The raining drizzle set your heart thumping wanting to go out and get wet, to watch it from afar under a warm blanket with a fire going in the middle, the drive through hilly range with sheets of water splashing from the sky, arresting you from speeding away but slowing you down enough to watch the presentation with greenery, the plunging rivers advising one to let go of old things but rush with life as the time is less. I would like to go on and on but will you join me with your lines…sunkan

Beautiful piece. Many of those things are still a part of my "wanted" list... These are the things I'd love to have in my life... Sigh! You reminded me of them...( Not of beedi and Vodka... )...
