Default Best place to buy Pressure cookers & Steel vessels in Dubai?

Hi Friends,

Which is the best place here to buy Pressure cookers & Steel vessels ? 'Hadi' has good stuff, but quite high priced. 'Lulu' & 'Carrefour' seem reasonable , but very few models only are available. Any other shop can you recommend ?

Where can we buy good quality winter clothes ?? I've never had the need to buy them till now, so have no idea where to look ? Casually browsed in 'Woolworths' and 'Debenhams' , but prices are toooooooo high , for ordinary stuff itself !!

Kindly help out guys ,
Love,
Dew.

Hi,

Do we get mixie / grinder with a 110v motor , [instead of the usual 250v] here in the UAE ?

Where can we purchase 'Tupperware' storage containers here -- ??

With thanks,
Dew.

Thanks suja ; but carrefour, i enquired -- the guy said 'just a minute' & he disappeared ........ after waiting awhile, I asked someone else -- he didn't understand it at all !!

Same thing with Lulu guys --- they showed me only regular ones like Rubbermaid, Clip & Lock etc.

And in Al Maya in Lamcy -- all the lovely vessels have disappeared !! Only a few dinner sets are there ; rest all are stuff from 'Daiso' only . And in pressure cooker , he has only one model from Premier -- the Netra one ! So , very big disappointment :icon_frown: there too.

hi,
well i can help u with ur problem of winter clothes.u can try out ZARA in burjuman center.they have really very good collection of winter wear.u can also try out MR.PRICE in lamcy plaza and SPLASH in centrepoint.i mostly buy winter war from theses places and yeah ive never been disappionted about the quality.

about the pressure cooker,go for a good brand like prestige or jaipan.take the non-stick types.ordinary cookers r useless.

i hope my information might help u in some small way atleast.ok bye for now.

Hi,

Even i had confusions in buying pressure cooker and mixie..but now i have bought premier - netra.. its a good one actually, as it comes with 2 separators inside for cooking veg or dal items.. as for mixie, still i am searching, i am thinking of buying the premier 3 jar mixer grinder , the jars have handles and are of reasonable size differences for diff. varieties of grinding...these kinds are available in LuLu and carrefour... In the newly opened LuLu Hypermarket near MOE u can find good collection of steel vessels and non-stick items...hope this info. is useful to u....

Hi Dew,

Try Kanchan Mixie - I saw it at KM Trading, Sharjah - so should be available in Dubai branch also - I am using Kanchan Mixie for the past 7 yrs without probs.

This is not the time for winter clothes -- you will get them in oct- nov once the climate starts becoming cooler

Steel items are highly priced here but I would still recommend that you take the heavier ones for the others tend to crack over regular use. I have experienced it myself.

Pressure cookers - we get only Premier and hawkins - try non stick in premier it is good

As far as I know Tupperware is not sold in shops.

Dear Dew,
Please visit Lulu Hypermarket in Al Marsha (behind MOE). They have Prestige Pressure cookers in different sizes & stainless steel containers for the same. There is a wide choice of stainless steel & copper vessels. I think you will find what you need in this place.
However, I did not find Tupperware containers.

Regards
USHA
