Most of the suggestions are imported products which we get in US and UK

Can somebody suggest me a good brand which is reliable and common in India..So that i can get after-sale-service too

Thanks all.

Cindhuja,

Till recently did not have a FP. I had to buy a new mixie and when i visited prestige showroom, to check out mixies (I have a privilege card and the service from nanganallur dealer is very good ) I chanced upon this mixie cum FP though have been eyeing a braun processor with a stainless steel body for sometime, (make it everytime i was in the supermarkets during my vacation), but it is too higher end and did not want to invest so much on that.

i brought the FP+mixie. it is doing good.though the fp is small, i cook for 4/7 of us at a time. i am able to shread, dice, chop veggies. (only drawback is the water shortage..water to clean later)

so i would give a 8 on a scale of 10 for the usage of FP. even shredding greens is so beautiful.have to wash and dry them, so i clean, wash and leave them in the strainer till morning.

Sandwich maker, i have one from usha, it is a kid's play. my ds makes his own combination sandwiches.

Oven.. if you are looking at convection both lg and samsung look beautiful. check out who gives better service in your area. personally samsung edges out for me. I use a sharp jet convection with double grill for the past 6 years.

OTG i have used bajaj for 5 years. it was good. (though i did not know much baking then.)

apart from this i do have those manual peelers with different thickness which i use to grate onions, cabbage and likes for my salads. i have a hand blender for puree. (Dh says i have been influenced by chitvish gadgets thread)

now planning to exchange the blender with one from prestige.

do check out the prestige showroom..and not the stores. you can see a lot of gadgets apart from the cookers. (heard they have opened kitchen boutiques in bangalore) they have blenders, toasters, coffeemakers, induction, oven too. and the best part is they do have exchange mela frequently.

I have been very happy with my buyings. but again it differs with each person .

happy shopping..
