In the following picture..Check the border pattern..Guess itz zardosi work..Can we get these work alone as ready-made stuff, like how we get jari borders for blouse and sarees! Or is it done by embroidery and zardosi work experts alone?? If so do any of you have a reference for to reach them?

This is zardosi of course, but these patches, emaning only the embroidery is available I bought it in Hyderabad, don't know about Chennai. You can just stitch it on to your dress!!!

Many insist to shop in Parrys and Sowcarpet alone..Itz bit far and a lousy trip too..So very lazy to plan about ti..Where is that shop in Annanagar..Can you give me some landmark for it??

Cindhu, saw the design that its in the salwar (the Mango design at the end of the salwar) recently in a Crafts shop opposite to Adyar Telephone Exchange on the main road. Each design was for 15 Rs or something like that... Dind't check out about the border desgin.. I think we may get it there... There will be lot of bamboo baskets hanging outside this shop....I forgot the name of the shop... I will go home and check the cover and the bill and will let you know...
