Need your recos/suggestions in getting loose gemstones (amethyst, garnet, peridot etc) made into jewelry. I prefer 14k/ 18k/ sterling silver/ gold dipped on silver...not necessarily have to be 22k gold thinking of gold prices. I know GRT does it but they only do in 22k gold.
Does anyone know who can take custom orders ..mostly elegant matching pendants & earring studs in different desgins..that's all...not too gaudy/bulky sets.

You can try in Narayana pearls of T nagar. On my next visit I have
plans to visit the shop without fail. One of my friends made neckalces
in N.Pearls with the gems from US.

My parents inquired Narayan Pearls if they take custom orders to make gemstone jewelry. and found they do. they make jewels in Silver & gold-dip for final finish ...hope this piece of info will be useful to many seeking to have custom-made gemstone sets at reasonable cost (not as in 22K gold)

I think u can try with " sultans",he is a gemmologist and has put up his showroom now in TTk road opp hotel Ramanda.he takes custom made order and does a lot on 18k and white gold in open settings.he also makes using stones which are in different sizes also.i have around 4 sets( pendant,earing and ring) with amythest,tourmaline and ruby with him.he uses the minial gold and makes the stones prominent...........but the making charges are on the higher side.

last week i bought a ruby beeds necklace with silver pendent and earring dipped in gold(the pendent also has original rubys and the beads of the chain are also real ruby beads)
first he said it was 9000, but later after a lot of bargaining he gave it for 6500(hurray!!!!)
he also said he would provide certification for the ruby beads and rubys for a charge of 250/-
i went to pondy bazar branch also but adyar branch has more varietys and much cheaper also
the same necklace in pondy bazar is 11000 and no bargaining also
he also told he would custum design any thing we wanted!!!
so next time i will try to custum design the emarald beads and let u know
