Talking Where to buy 9 yard sarees

I will be visiting India this year end... can anyone tell me where can I buy good madisar sarees ( for young person ). Last year it was so tough for me to find the 9 yard saree in Hyd , found a few in chandana brothers but it wasnt good ( just normal cottons ).

I think Chennai shopping would be better. Kindly let me know. I'm looking for better quality sarees. Thanks !!

Dear Vimala
Good madisar saris are available in all the leading textile shops like Nalli, Kumaran, Raasi,Pothys and RMKV. For good Kanchipuram Silk Madisar Raasi, Nalli, Hayagrivas and RMKV are better. U will get not only 9 yards saree but 10, 11 and 12 yards for tall and well built ladies.
Regards
uma

Best choice is nalli and rasi silks in mylapore. Likewise check sundari silks in T.Nagar.

Hi,
I guess you can try for 9 yards of the silk cotton variety in Prashanthi at CIT Nagar, just behind the Sankara Hall at Alwarpet. The material looks just like silk but lighter and the dazzle is so good. It can be washed at home too.

One more outlet for silk cotten 9 yards sarees in "Ishwarya" in Arcot road, T.nagar, behind Krishna sweets. They have a good collection suited for both young and old.
The price is also moderate.
