Diamond - Vaira Mookooti

Hi all

I would like to know about the famous "meenakshi" nose stud - mookooti or earings worn by tamil brahmin ladies.

My mom loves it a lot but unfortunately we could not find good quality ones , can someone suggest where to get this diamond in chennai ?

have you tried bapalal their diamond quality is very good and i am sure they will have these traditional designs!!!!!

you can also try GRT they also have got quite a good collection of traditional designs!!!

Hi,

Try getting in GRT jewellery, T.Nagar. They have a separate section for diamonds which is dosham free.

thanks for your reply... I will try looking for it in Chennai. We are Malaysian born.. so we could not find such pure , traditional type kinda diamond mookooti in Kuala Lumpur.

I purchased a small one for me in Chandana Brothers - Hyd. It was'nt that good , doesnt have any shine... quite disappointing...

This time I want to get my mom and will search in Chennai.... want to get a good quality... and yes I will have a look in bapalal and GRT.

Purchased few pattilus ( velli kolusu ) in Saravana stores though and i am happy about it... quite good ones.

you can get very good diamonds in Kirtilal's. they have branches in chennai, hybd, coimbatore etc
