Default Re: Saravanas or Sangeetha ?

Hi

I like Sangeetha for their quality of food, pricing and service. Saravana's food was tasty until some years back. But now the quality is poor, service is very very slow and waiting time and the price are more.

I also find SB too conjusted and TOO NOISY in Dubai. The tables are too close to each other and loud tamil songs are played with lots of noise of moving chairs, utensils being dropped down. There is no congenial atmosphere inside which is very irritating for me.

In fact long ago, one of the customers had fought with the waiter for serving a very small qty of chutney / side dish for a thali and he was demanding for more. He complained that while other restaurants serve a good qty of those, why SB is serving too less? Is it not a valid question? Even I have found in Chennai T Nagar branc during one of our visits, the chutney is served in a small plate like katori just a tblsp measurement only. But for their price the qty is very less. Not Good.

Hmmm... FIrst tasted Saravanas in Delhi, and wow! had it three times weekly.
We moved to Chennai where we were told it's best, but conditons are bad here and taste rules in Delhi!
Only SB we enjoy is the car service in RK Salai, cuz we have two lil kids! but yes, idli size is pathetic! here they charge for extra curry, samba ete. Not in Delhi!
We don't like Sangeeta's too much cuz also grimy feel no!?!?
Sandeepa's taste is better I think..it is a spin off from Sangeetha's also.
Ratna's triplicane? Yuck! but i guess it's all in our preferences. Out of India, my ownly sample of indian food was north indian which is great!
But nothign beats the preparation of vegetable down south! We go to Raintree of TTK Rd for good regional buffets and fair price! Even MGM buffet has a good vege spread as well as oceanside ambience and playarea for the kids!

hmm... bon appetit!

AND Ohmigosh! this is soooo funny!
THey are charging so much for so little in SB!

Only so the Managing Director of Saravana Bhavan Holdings LLC, Shiva Kumaar PR. can pay INR4 00 000!!!, for the first vegie burger in McDonald's Chennai!

go figure! guess it's charity! so we can feel better about SB's high prices!
