Although there are umpteen shops in Mylai and T Nagar, I feel materials from shops in Parrys are the best. however, most of them are brands - so it does not really matter where you buy. I go to parrys because of the fact that I can complete all my purchases together.

There are some wholesale shops in Kasi Chetty Street and Perumal Mudali street. i dont know the shops' name because i normally just walk in to the shop, as I know it for a long time. Next time, when i go, i will check the shop name and let u know.

You may try Pandian Bangle store in T Nagar. Their rates are very reasonable in most other things, so it may be true with also Fabric and glass painting materials.

Hey,

I find Pandian Store rates expensive. Also their customer service is slow. Infact, even Raja 's is bad. Probably it is a question/ feel of monopoly, but recently when I wen to buy some essentials liek lace, paints and all, it was so bad. There wont be a huge rate diffference in branded stufff, until you get from a wholesaler. A good idea would be to contact a Fevicryl/Camilin TEacher

May be true, Archana!
Thats why I said i don't have direct experience with Fabric paints etc in that store. However, with respect to jewellery making, they are pretty much competitive among the shops in the city. For some, the rates are even same as in Parrys. Yes, but they are slow in responding...as I know a girl there, it becomes easy for me.
Raja stores is VERY EXPENSIVE !!

You are right. I bought some jewelry materials in raja stores and its 50% more when compared to parrys. I'm ready to buy branded materials. But I really don't know the names of it. Frankly speaking, With those materials I'm going to learn fabric and glass paintings :) Pls suggest me some stores and brands.

Thanks,
Uma
