Hotel to stay near American Consolate in Chennai

Can someone suggest some good hotels near the American Consolate in Chennai.

hi,
there is a hotel called maaris on the same road of the consulate. i think it is a 3 star hotel.decent place.

it is less than 5 min walk on that corner to reach the consulate.

i stayed there in 2004 but now i don't know if the same hotel is there, i heard there is going to be a renovation soon. so check it out from our chennai friends

There is one Hotel Palmgrove in the Kodambakkam high Road off Nungambakkam High Road. But you'll have to get an auto to get across. That's a good hotel but a vegetarian one.
