Buying silk sarees, other collections in chennai

hi please share your knowledge where to purchase for marriage silk sarees and salwars, and also to stitch them

If you are looking for good length and breadth and traditional colours and value for pattu then my choice is Nalli.(new one opposite to pothys).Even you get good salwar material there.you also get new designs here.

If you are looking for something new,then go to Rmkv.

kumaran(the bigger one) is also good.The silk is very thick and you get value for money.The only problem is length and breadth.if you are not keen on the length then go for kumaran.(you get good quality for comparatively lesser price)
Both the kumarans offer the same quality.here also you get new designs.

For salwars you can try some shops in Pondibazaar.For materials,all the three above has good collections.

are you new to chennai? because from your file i come to know that you are from chennai and chennai is a place for good shopping and that too for pattu sarees..famous Nalli, Old kumaran, and RMKV have good choice located in panagal park. Sundari silks and Rangachary is also trustworthy..
Hi choice a tailoring shop in adyar LB road near ganapathy ram theatre is small shop but they stitch well and mostly deliver promptly. also tailoring shop in the upstairs of Tolson readymades near Adyar signal, Bata and Baskin and Robins also stich well. And there is another shop near panagal park bustop (if my memory goes right the name of the shop is hi fashion run by a lady) is also a good one but you cannot expect prompt delivary..

Thanks alot.. Ya i'm new to chennai.
We have visited nalli, kumaran, but all sarees are common.we bought only one frm there.
we are looking for something unique collections.
I will try sundari silks and share my exp.
if u can suggest where can i get unique collections.

Have you tried Tulsi silks, Luz Church Road and Rasi Silk Emporium? You get designer silk sarees in Tulsi. They are very pretty and are very unique. My sister who has a boutique in Kerala takes some of those sarees with her for variety...

hi i m avanthika. i m in paris. i will be in chennai by next month. i planned 2 go for a full and full shopping.

can any one help me where can i find heavy work sarees and north indian designer sarees.

i dont know any thing about chennai.

you can find heavy work sarees in almost all the textile sholps located near panagal park, TNagr. Old Kumaran, Nalli, Pothys, Chennai silks, Sundari Silks(a bit expensive but has good collections),
Thulasi ram in Alwarpet and Rasi silk emporium in mylapore near kapaleeshwarar temple.
