Fancy sarees and dresses

Hi all,
I will be visiting Chennai within a month. Its a new place to me. I want to buy some nice fancy/desinger/work sarees and some nice dresses. Can you tell me where do I find them?

First of all i will welcome u to chennai..........U can get many varieties of sarees in all the shops in Tnagar like Pothys, Chennai Silks, Kumaran Stores, Naidu Hall, Sri Krishna Collections (SKC).

U can even try in Purasawakkam.......in the complex opposite to Abirami Theater. The complex is known as prince towers.

But before buying check whether the price is satisfactory and not too costly........

For sarees, as honeytha suggested you can try the shops at T.Nagar.

For good dresses, you can try Fountain Plaza , Cissons complex ( in EGMORE)
There are also good shops for dresses in Ponday bazaar next to Naidu Hall (forgot the name of that small shop)

Hi all,

As jithiks said there are lot of shops in and around t.nagar. The shop which Jithiks was referring to is called "Sonali", the one next to naidu hall. Though a small one they have variety of latest salwar suits, nighties and dresses for the little ones too.

Usually college girls go around Pantheon Road ( the road side shops). Its gud enuf to wear to colleges. I used to freak around wearing those dresses when i was in my college.
