Default vepampoo (neem flower)- where to buy?

Hello dear Chennai-ites: My parents are coming to Germany in May to help us with my second delivery:) Of all things I've suddenly developed a craving for vepampooi normally get them in Ambika appalam but last 2 years it wasn't available there. Do you know any shop in Mylai/T.Nagar/Adyar area where I can buy dried vepampoo? Thanks.... Latha

Hi,

March -april is the season for vepambu. As it is a must for Ugadi and tamil new year, you will get plenty of them in the markets. As it is summer time,You can ask your mom to buy them and dry them and bring that for you.You can even try in Sharada stores in West mamabalam area (near ayodhya mandapam) and also Thayar dairy in station road in Mambalam.

Hai,

You can get Vepampoo in many shops. Or else you can try in Daba Chetty Shop, which is near Mylapore Kapaleeswarar Temple. If you ask for this shop, people will guide you. Because their u get many items like this. My mom also went their when i was pregnant to get some Marundu products for me.

Try.........All the best

hi,

Yes, as Honeyatha said these neem flowers are available in "Nattu Marundhu" shops irrelevant of seasons. You will find series of these shops in "Mylapore Kutcheri Road". Anbody will guide you to reach these shops from Kapaleeswarar Temple.

They are also available in open vegetable market next to the Kapali Temple.

Thanks everyone. I'll ask my mom to check out near mylai temple. Amma was saying she'll find a tree around new year time and dry them... i didn't want her to take that trouble and instead buy. Latha
