I also used to shop in Godown Street.............They have lots and lots of varieties..............you will get confused to select...............

the places near jain temple are really good for shopping...there is a shop called passion..this guy has excellent stuff and we do our regular shopping there.....also you have shops tht sell artifical jewellery and they are just way too good...

I live in T.nagar. I used to do shopping in T.Nagar itself. Now, I just want to give a try at Sowcarpet. But I am worried it would be difficult to handle those shop keepers

I feel it would be better if anyone who know the place very well can accompany me.

what is that place near jain temple.i dont get u........normally i used to go to godown street for picking clothes and NSC Bose road for jewelery and around that area uiwll get everything.........

I wish I can come right now... evvalo naalachcu gumbalo poi shopping panni. Shopping with husband is too boring . But alas right now I'm in Germany, managing my vaal paiyan and expecting the second one in June. My husband was saying we'll go to India in December (whatever happens we do a yearly trip to singara chennai) and so I already started to collect details . I was talking with my cousin in Mumbai and she was telling me about the dressing sense of marwaris. then i remembered our very own sowcarpet. next time i'm there i'll give a shout hee hee:) Latha
