Restaurants in Namma Madras

Nice thread.Dont know how i missed it. Anyways read a recent post about ECR dhaba. Speaking about dhaba, it is one such good place for both lunch and dinner. In the city itself we would have come across famous dhaba kitchens like Sachin-ka-dhaba & Punjabi Dhaba. I like both of them. Especially the one in Cenotoph road is my favourite.Also there is a dhaba express in Eldorado "Nungambakkam", fantastic place. Also check the dhaba on the way to Dr.Nair road near new woodlands.Will update soon.

I am Sangeetha.Newly joined IL. I am a foodie so i wish to share some restaurants in Pondy Bazar and G.N.Chetty road.
Anjapper - This is a non-veg restaurant. It has branches in many places. I have visited Numgambakkam and Pondy Bazar branches. Tastes are too good in this. Always there is a crowd in this restaurant.
Andhra Mess - This is also a non-veg Restaurant in Pondy Bazar. Taste are very nice in this restaurant.
Sandeepa - This is a Veg Restaurant in G.N.Chetty road. In this, all foods are good. Ice creams are too good in Sandeepa.
Amma Mess - This is also in G.N.Chetty road. Taste are very nice here.
Virudhunagar - This is also in G.N.Chetty road. Non veg items are too good and they serve as hot in this.
Dhaba - This is also in G.N.Chetty road. Roti, nan, and side dishes are good. But briyani is not good here. Moreover they serve very slowly.
Wangs' kitchen and Murugan idly shop are also there in G.N.Chetty road.

3 things i want to add

When i visited chennai last time i stopped over at the mariott. Was good.

They have a buffet system and its really good, a bit exp. But worth the visit.

Another is the pizza at the Park, Love the thin crust. Also ordered my son's birthday cake from there(Dora the explorer). A hit with the kids:)

Sanjeevam is also nice for the veg food.

One more to the list.. Hotel Mamalla's (Golden Palette),Mahabalipuram. We go there, often. They too have good varieties.They are maintaining their good taste.We had Vegetable Augratin,it was too good.Try it ..

yesterday my hubby and children had a buffet dinner in sanjeevanam...................for a change i ordered for vazhapoovu cutlet..............with a combo meal, vazhaipoovu cutlet was really good,

did you visit sanjeevanam or not......................

Nice to know about vazhapoo cutlet. It sounds very interesting. And no, Padma, unfortunately I have not been to Sanjeevanam yet. My husband and I are slowly getting back to normalcy and so will start dining outside soon. I will surely visit sanjeevanam soon and let you know about my experience.
