Default Mixie from India

Hi friends
I need your suggestion. While coming to US i left my mixie back there.I brought a new one here which gives me worst batters and chutneys ever.So now i want to bring my mixie when i go there. But my question is will it work here?I mean the because of the voltage difference and AC/DC part. Can i simply use convertor and start using it or i need to use something else. How does the indian mixies that are sold here generally work? Are they specialy made for Use here(voltage part) and suited to indian needs?
Priti

Hi Priti,

A few things about mixies. In India now you get 110 volts mixie/grinders (I think all appliances) which can be used in US. It is better you bring one from India or buy an Indian brand online. We brought Prestige mixie from India and paid around Rs.3200 or so and it is running fine. In India is is 220 volts I think. So most of the major manufacturers like Prestige Ultra etc.. sell 110 volts appliances.

Hi,
I had Sumeet Mixie in 110 V But it did not work for me. I think sumeet Asia kitchen machine is a failure one. Then I bought a indian mixie here from dualelectronics paid 80 dollars and works very well. You can try Pretti mixie I heard they are very good.

Regards
Birraj

Hi sudha
I bought Cofee grinder recently (one month back). It seems to work fine for me till now(am i giving it certificate so soon????????).Infact now i am preparing my pickels at home ,so using it for powdering spices. So i think cofee grinders are good for dry spices.Only thing is u need to have two mixies, one for wet batters(which in my case is worst one and of no good use) and other for dry masalas, the only thing u need to remember is dont ever put a even a drop of water in the cofee grinder. It has to be strictly dry grinding.
