Zip lock bags are available in stores like foodworld, spencers etc.

For uncooked vegetables, i think polythene bags are ok. Waiting for more suggestions of ILites.

Hi,

You can get the zip lock bags in all supermarkets these days. Regarding storing the veggies in polythene bags - in my personal opinion i dont think its good storing the veggies in these polythene bags which are very low on the thickness measured in microns. Some state governments had banned the polythene bags which are lesser than 70 microns in thickness. If the polythene bag is quite thick and good, we may use it. But its better to invest in zip lock bags that are food grade.

There is a dollar shop in Venkatanarayanan Road, T.Nagar after the Balaji temple closer to the park [When moving towards Pangal Park junction].

I guess u are in Besant Nagar. You can checkout for zip lock bags in Lifestyle, Adyar [the one in adyar bakery complex], food world in besant nagar, Nilgiris, Spencers' Daily. Hope this list helps :)

Haritha.

you get netted zipped bags (available in reliance and other stores) that can be used to store uncut veggies, seggregated in the vegetable compartment.

I cut and store veggies in boxes (microwavable, easier to steam too). if i need to freeze, i do them in zip lock bags. you get them in spencers in a combo pack which has 5 each of different sizes. i store flours like soya, bajra (lower shelf life) in these bags in the freezer.

I have seen aluminium freezer bags for food in reliance.
