Default Information needed on gadget to slice/dice/shred veggies

What is the difference between a food processor and slicer/dicer/shredder combo kitchen gadgets ?

I am planning to buy something for my kitchen to slice and dice veggies like tindora, potatoes , beans etc.

I bought one last year but it doesn't really dice into small pieces instead makes a mash of the veggies to some extent. Not sure what kind of combo gadget it is.

Appreciate a lot if someone can guide me what is the best option I have to assist me in kitchen.Should I go for FP ,or blender ,or slicer or something else ?

Pardon my ignorance but I don't own many kitchen gadgets nor looking for any heavy-weight processor for idli/dosa batter.I just want to own something which assists me to chop veggies apart from my kitchen knife.

Hi Sabitha,

I was also facing the same question few months back. I had a mixer and a wet grinder and i was looking for a gadget to chop/slice/dice vegetables. I purchased Mandolin slicer.

Please find more information about the slicer here: Vegetable chopper/dicer/slicer
