Default Vegetable chopper/dicer/slicer

Hi,

Our company has set new timings, which would mean that i have to be out of home by 7:30 in the morning. By that time i need to prepare breakfast & lunch, get my daughter ready for school. Dosa batter, chapati dough, i prepare over the weekend. The only time consuming task is chopping vegetables. I buy fresh vegetables daily or twice a week. Mostly i chop them previous evening but there are some days when i dont have the energy to chop the vegetables after coming back from office.

So started looking for a chopper/slicer/dicer. I was looking for something like Amazon.com: Norpro V Slicer Grater, Mandolin: Home & Garden. I ordered V slicer in ebay but it is just useless . Where can i get Norpro slicer in India?

Another chopper i have in mind is Nova Mini Food Chopper / Processor gifts in india at rediff shopping. but not sure it will be suitable for indian curries.

Please help me with this ladies..

-Lakshmi

Thank you Chithra madam. I saw that you have a Nova chopper in your Gadets Galorepost. Can the Nova chopper be useful for daily chopping of vegetables like onions, carrot, cabbage?

Hi orion,
A food processor is also useful in kitchen though not for dicing. A time saving equpment if used in the right way . It is useful in making chappathi dough, fine cutting of cabbage, ginger, carrot etc..

Hi jsree,

Initially i have considered a food processor but i have a mixer and a wet grinder with chapati dough attachment. So going for a food processor again will not be very useful for me.

I purchased an electric mandolin slicer. Pic attached. Its MRP was Rs.2250 and the shop gave a 10% discount on this. It has 1 year warranty. This was exactly what i was looking for. It chops, grates, dices very easily and it is safe, easy and fun to operate. My daughter wants to chop all the vegetables in the refrigerator

Hi Swarna,

I purchased it in Lamcy store on Kaggadasapura Main road itself, comes near Kaggadasapura 6th cross.

Thanks for the thread about telugu ILites. Looking at it now...
