hiI'm new to IL but i have gone through almost all the threads in arts and crafts. I am very much interested is sewing and i would like to buy a singer sewing machine either 8280 or 4228. could you let me know the price details.Thanks in asvancevani

Please tell me where can i find stapler kind of sewing machine.I mean what kind of shops sell those machines?Are they fancy shops or dealers who sell regular big machines.I am not into stiching at all,but i need one just for regular stiching work like buttons,stiches coming off etc.

Hi,

We bought a new Singer sewing machine model 2818 yesterday... Actually entered the shop to buy model 8280, but the technician there at the singer authorised showroom explained about this model and sounded very convincing, and said that this was also as good as 8280 and also had 18 emb stitches.. and the price was also slightly more.

Has anyone used this 2818, if so please let me know how good or useful it is and also the problems you have had with it.

Singer showroom is in Anna salai (Mount road) (Boat club road corner) opposite to Spencer's Plaza...

I am new to IL.I was going through your thread to buy Singer 4228.I am also planning to buy 4228 or 8280.I also want to do stitching , embroidery , quilting etc . Since you are owner of 4228 for the last 1 year , you will be able to give a good feed back.Can you please tell me how the performance is .Did you find any problems till now.What about embroidery ? Are you satisfied with the machine .Please give your valuable feed back.
